Designed for security and adaptability, as a vital link to their fall protection anchor point, this double leg elastic webbing lanyard is specially used for fall arrest and elevated work platform. Elastic fall arrest webbing lanyard is ideal for fall protection for fall arrest and elevated work platform. The twin leg internal shock energy absorber expandable lanyard is CE certified and meet the EU CE standard EN354-2010 and EN355-2002.
Webbing and Hardware Strength: ≥22KN
The double legs energy absorbing webbing lanyard=elastic energy absorbing webbing+a snap hook and two scaffold hooks.
Requirements of EN354-2010
Terminations
1. Lanyards shall be terminated in such a manner that they can be connected to other personal fall protection equipment directly or by an appropriate connector.
2. Spliced terminations on ropes shall be secured to prevent the splice from coming open in use and the materials used for securing shall be compatible with the rope material.
3. Threads used for sewing shall be of a contrasting shade or colour in order to facilitate visual inspection.
4. When using a knot for forming a termination, the knot shall be secured so that it cannot be opened without the use of a tool. After the static strength test in accordance with 5.7, the tail end of the knot shall have a minimum length of 100 mm.
5. Ends of the lanyard shall be prevented from unravelling.
6. Eye terminations of wire rope lanyards shall not be manufactured with U-bolt clamps.
Functions and Description
The full length of the Energy absorbing lanyard and/or twin legged energy absorbing lanyard , two machined ends and two connectors, must not exceed 2m. The lanyard with energy absorber, which is a polyester, performs the function of stopping the person who is falling. One end of the Energy absorbing lanyard and/or twin legged energy absorbing lanyard is attached to one of the attachment points on the harness while the other is attached to fixed or mobile anchorage point, resistance 12 kN (EN795).There are single and twin lanyard, and certain models have an integral adjustment device. The Energy absorbing lanyard and/or twin legged energy absorbing lanyard may be made of stranded rope, webbing or braided rope. It is equipped with a shock absorber which limits the braking force when a fall is stopped.
