This safety harness is ideal for scaffolding work on construction sites to provide fall arrest protection and guarantee the workers’ safety and lives. Especially in the process of scaffold assembly and disassembly, operators must use appropriate personal fall arrest equipment to protect themselves from falling when the anchor point is lower than or at the same level with their feet. With two textile loops at the chest as attachment, the fall arrest safety harness is matched with the double twin-tail lanyard of the large scaffold hook to realize the free movement on the vertical and horizontal, while keeping the safety belt and the user always connected on the same anchorage.

Application
Compared with the general structure, the working conditions of scaffolding have the following characteristics:
1, the load variability is large;
2. The connecting node of the coupler is semi-rigid, and the rigid size of the node is related to the quality of the coupler and the installation quality, and the node performance has great variation;
3. There are initial defects in scaffold structure and components, such as initial bending and corrosion of rods, installation size error and load eccentricity, etc.;
4. The connection point with the wall has great constraint variation on the scaffold. The research on the above problems lacks systematic accumulation and statistical data, and does not have the conditions for independent probability analysis. Therefore, the adjustment coefficient of structural resistance multiplied by less than 1 is determined by calibration with the safety factor used in the past.
Notices for scaffolding work:
- When doing scaffolding work at height, double tail lanyards are the best complement to your full body fall arrest harness.
- Twin tail lanyards are common in the construction industry. They allow freedom of vertical and horizontal movement while ensuring that you and your harness remain at least one contact point at any time.
- Tips for choosing a double tail tie:
- Big Hook is the best
- For scaffolds, the lanyard must be able to hook any scaffold platform. Therefore, the energy absorbing lanyard used for the support is usually large, with a 60mm opening and support hook.
- Keep the lanyard elastic
- The self retracting twin tail lanyard is an ideal choice for scaffolding because it reduces the required free fall clearance.
- The length of retractable lanyard ranges from 1.5m to 2.0m – choosing the correct length will depend on the distance between your work site and the anchor point.
Quality Control
- From raw material control to production process control to finished product inspection control, we strictly follow the quality management system. Our factory has passed ISO9001: 2015, ISO14001 and ISO45001 certification. Static strength test and dynamic performance test shall be conducted for the whole body scaffold according to en364 to ensure its function as a fall protection device.
- To ensure that the scaffolding harness is performing its basic function — saving lives — it must be inspected before each use. Remember that all fall arrest harnesses have an expiration date. However, the life of a fall arrest harness varies greatly depending on how many times it is worn and the environment in which it is used. When you check your scaffolding harness, the first rule is: If in any doubt about safety, throw it out.
How to check its quality?
- The braid of the harness should be strong and the yarn should be tightly woven so that it can be easily passed through the metal parts. If the braided tape is caught as it slides through the metal, it will cause the braided tape to be cut. Once the braided belt is cut, the harness must be removed from use.
- It is also important to check the tensile strength of the braided tape. After wear tests, some of the braided belts began to wear and wrinkle, making the belts unusable. The stitching of the braid is as important as its structure. The stitches must not be torn during the fall.
- The braided straps of the harness should provide long-term resistance to the sun’s ultraviolet rays, heat sources and moisture. If the harness is used in an electrically charged environment, it must also not conduct electricity; If used in harsh chemical environments, braid must be resistant to toxic chemical fumes and spatter.
