Details

The full body harness are widely used for fall arrest and climbing in developed countries as it is more safe and confortable. Together with double tail energy absorbing lanyard, it provides user with continuous fall protection at construction site. Compared with safety belt or half body harness, which has huge hidden safety hazard, the full body harness has greater intrinsic safety, which in case of a fall during travelling or climbing operation, can disperse the impact load generated by falling to the shoulder, leg and crotch, reducing the impact on the upper body, chest and abdomen internal organs, spine and other vulnerable parts.

The safety harness for climbing must be used with energy absorbing lanyard or retractable fall arrest device for fall arrest purpose. Once the height of a fall is too high and the impact force on the safety belt is greater than a certain value, the impact force to the fall arrest safety belt will continue, which may cause injury to the user of the seat belt. Therefore, the full body climbing safety belt must have energy absorber to  better protect the workers who fall from the height. In the event of a fall the special webbing inside the Energy Absorber opens up. This opening of the webbing takes up most of the jerk which is felt as an impact when a fall occurs. Hence finally very little jerk is felt on the body of the worker. We can therefore imagine that if this Energy Absorber is absent from a fall protection system, the forces which are felt on the body of the worker can be very high and can result in injury.

Product Specific Application

with a front D-ring, the full body harness is fit for climbing and descending, while with a dorsal D ring, it can be used for fall arrest purpose. The sternal D ring can also be used for fall protection purpose.

Quality control 

Hardware test

As soon as each batch of hardware arrives our factory, we will carry test for them. Firstly we will do visual inspection to see if there is cracks, burrs,or other defalts,  then hardness test, bending test, and tensile strength test to check their performance, and then salt spay test to see if their anti-corrosion performance meet the requirements. If a batch does not meet the requirement, it will be rejected. For the qualified batch, to ensure the quality, we will also check the their quality during stitching. Before delivery, all the completed harness and lanyards will also be inspected.
