Description
The WhisperPower Autotransformer is used when a split-phase (single phase three wire) system or a single outlet different to the generator or inverter outletvoltage is required. In this way a nominal output of 240 VAC may be converted to split-phase dual 120 VAC or single 120 VAC / 60 Hz as used in USA and Canada.

By using the transformer, power consumption difference on each phase is balanced to provide maximum power for each voltage outlet. The autotransformer may be also connected in a configuration to generate 240 V or balanced split-phase from a 120 VAC input voltage.
