The MSDW Plus is a detector able to detect ferromagnetic metal objects and magnets that can interact with the strong magnetic field generated by MRI instruments used for diagnostic exams. In the MRI room, this type of objects can become airborne as projectiles and can be dangerous for all people present in the room, patients and doctors as well as the machinery that can be damaged by the flying objects, even requiring to quench the magnet in the worst case.
